I recently was requested to create a proposal for implementing Windows Sharepoint Services as an intranet solution. During the writing of this proposal, I wanted to point out how important it was to setup guidelines and intranet standards. I also wanted to have ready some good souce documents relating to site branding. I found a good article direct from Microsoft on how to brand a Sharepoint Portal Site. It contained just what I was looking for.

With the high warm winds and rain mixed with snow, it is a yuck yuck day. I didn't even want to get out of bed. But, for some reason (..money?) felt compelled to do so and actually was somewhat productive. The whole day was spent setting up another site to work with my existing Sharepoint site. It's great to know that I'm not the first to succeed with getting a regular ASP.NET site working side by side with WSS. I found lots of good references online that got me started.

... I think I'll just go outside and make snow angels now.

Well... it has been haunting me awhile now. Seeing all the great blogs out there and wondering if I will ever follow the masses and jump off the bridge into the deep deep (last I checked) frozen waters of geekness. It's finally time to let my fingers do little more than ! code.
